Kurus Core makes sharp, practical guides that hand you the tools to build something of your own. Here’s where the name comes from — and what we’re trying to do with it.
Where the name comes from
“Kurus” is the original Persian form of a name you already know in its later spelling: Cyrus. Twenty-five centuries ago, Kūruš — Cyrus the Great — founded the first Persian Empire, the largest the world had yet seen, reaching from the Mediterranean to the Indus.
But conquest isn’t why he’s remembered. Cyrus is remembered for how he built. He let the peoples he ruled keep their own languages, laws, and gods. He freed the exiles held in Babylon and sent them home to rebuild. His legacy wasn’t the throne — it was the roads, the systems, and the freedoms that let other people build lives of their own.
That’s the part we took for the name. Not the crown. The blueprint.
The standard
The “Core” is the part we handle: the tools, the systems, the hard-won how-to. The empire is yours to build. So every guide is held to the same bar — it has to be worth more than you paid for it. That means a few non-negotiables.
Useful over long.
A short guide you finish and act on beats a fat one you abandon. We cut anything that isn’t pulling its weight.
Honest about what it gives you.
We promise a skill, a tool result, or a finished thing — never a get-rich fantasy. If a price or tool might change, we date it so you know how fresh it is.
A path for everyone.
Every guide includes a free or low-cost way to follow along, so a small purchase is all you need to get going.
What we’re building
Right now, that means guides — short, premium how-tos that take something genuinely useful in AI and hand it to you in a weekend, written for smart people who don’t have time for hype.
It won’t stop there. The aim is a growing set of tools that put AI to work on real problems — the smart logic behind stronger humans, not a replacement for them.
